Job Type: Fixed Term - 12 months
Hours: 30 – 40 hours negotiable
Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and love working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment? Barkers Fruit Processors is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our Sales team as a Customer Support – Food Ingredients specialist.

About the Role
Barker’s is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Support – Food Ingredients specialist to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a respected organization committed to providing exceptional customer service. This role is responsible for:
- Processing customer sales orders and work orders in internal systems
- Communicating order status and delivery timelines to customers
- Ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, including Certificates of Analysis
- Logging and managing customer complaints, and coordinating with Quality for resolution
- Collecting and updating customer sales forecasts monthly
- Monitoring stock levels and generating reports to support S&OP meetings
- Maintaining accurate pricing and product data in Exonet
- Supporting new product introductions and deletions, including customer communication
- Assisting the Business Manager and Junior Sales Rep with data analysis, briefs, and customer communications
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in customer service, administration, or sales support
- Strong Excel skills and confidence with data analysis
- Familiarity with inventory management systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-friendly tone
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- A proactive, self-driven attitude with the ability to use initiative
- A friendly, approachable personality and ability to work well with others
- Willingness to challenge the status quo and contribute ideas
- Understanding of forecasting, stock management, and order processing
